Gabriola businesses rolled with the ever-changing COVID-19 restrictions, guidelines and operation protocols. Pivoting became the ultimate task. From operating with reduced square footage to ensure customers remained two meters apart, monitoring the number of people in a store, providing hand sanitizer, offering programming on Zoom, installing plexiglass partitions, opening outdoor eating spaces, or dealing with abusive costumers, businesses did it all just to keep the doors open and services running. Thank you to all the businesses and their staff for showing up to work and keeping businesses operating.
