Gabriola Non-Profit Organizations

Gabriola Island’s non-profit organizations were greatly affected by the COVID-19 pandemic. Organizations on Gabriola provide services, programs, products, and a whole lot of community volunteer hours. Adjusting organizational capacity, operations and programming became the new normal for many organizations. Board members spent countless hours assessing how to keep the lights on and learning how to use Zoom; volunteers rolled up their sleeves and said, “yes I can help with that,” and Executive Directors thought outside the box to ensure services and programs would continue to support our community. Thanks to all the Gabriola non-profit organizations who continually make things happen on this little island regardless of the circumstances.
